Position and Function
This chakra is located above our navel and directly in our stomach area. The solar plexus chakra therefore plays a vital role in digestion and glows in a bright yellow colour. This chakra deals with growth and pertains to issues of the intellect, personal power, control and spiritual evolution. Try not to think of your Chakras as flat circles on your body, but more as shown above; physical vortexes of energy that penetrate your whole being.
Mudras are a silent language of self-expression used in Hindu and Buddhist teachings. Mudra hand gestures are often used in yoga practice, meditation, and for healing purposes.
Each Chakra vibrates and resonates sound at a different frequency. The Solar Plexus chakra's musical note is Solar Plexus — F# (182, 364, or 728 Hz and can also be accessed by chanting the sound 'RAM' The Sanskrit word 'Mantra' literally translate as consists of the root man- “to think” (also in manas “mind”) and the suffix -tra, meaning “tools or instruments”, hence a literal translation would be “instrument of thought”.
